Our Sixth Day

স্বাগতম  Shagotom!

Today Ankitha and Ms. Tiwari taught us how to say welcome in Bengali- স্বাগতম  Shagotom!

We are excited to learn how Simonds Park is a special place in Burlington.

Samuel is pointing to pictures of Simonds Park.

We are thinking about why a park is a special place.

At Simonds Park, we played games with the counselors and children from Club Simonds.

Valeria, Fawzan and Samuel found the wading pool. We wished we had our bathing suits, but we can swim here for free with a pass from the Recreation Department (61 Center St, Burlington)!

Club Simonds is a fun camp for students who have completed grades K-4. We can register for it online at: www.burlingtonrecreation.org or at the Recreation Department (61 Center St, Burlington). We can play games, sing songs, make arts and crafts, cook, play in the water and even go on field trips!

Before we left, we played on the playground. We had so much fun!

At school, we wrote in our notebooks about why we think the park is a special place. We played Musical Shares to share our writing with a partner!

Finally, we practiced using words to connect our reasons why Simonds Park is a special place in our community. In this video, Rida, Arnav, and Adwika shared their reasons with the team.

Thank you to the Club Simonds counselors and the Burlington Recreation Department for helping us to learn why Simonds Park is a special place in our community!
